My Bentley Stolen Vehicle Tracking System

The SVTS service aims to protect your Bentley via a dedicated anti-theft alarm system. The SVTS service connects, when and where possible, to the network of Bentley’s mobile network operator and also uses GPS in order to provide the SVTS.

The SVTS service is activated using the My Bentley App following receipt of the SVTS tracking certificate. The tracking certificate for insurance purposes can be downloaded as required from the My Bentley App.

In the even of a Theft alert, the Secure Operating Centre (SOC) will contact you to verify the theft. If it is a genuine theft, a crime reference number will need to be obtained and shared to the SOC. The SOC will then share data with the police to assist in the tracking of the Vehicle.

USING SVTS ABROAD

Does the tracking system work abroad?

Yes; a full list of countries is listed at the top of the page

Is there a limit on how long the services is offered outside the UK?

Yes there is a 30 day limit. The service is intended for UK customers only and covers their vehicle whilst on temporary trips abroad such as a holiday or business trip.

What is the length of term of the SVTS?

The service is specific to the vehicle and is available from first registration of the vehicle for a term of 3 years. If you require further information please contact the call centre.

HOW TO USE SVTS

What can trigger a theft alert?

Here are some of the possible reasons why a theft alert would be triggered:
−Vehicle moved without Driver Card
−Vehicle moved with the ignition off
−The 12V battery is disconnected
−The antenna is disconnected
−The vehicle intrusion alarm is activated for over 30-seconds

 

Can I prevent accidental alerts whilst my car is being shipped?

You can set a Special Mode within the app to prevent accidental alerts (e.g. setting SVT to ‘Transport Mode’ if the vehicle is being shipped).

What should I do when my vehicle is going in for service?

You can activate the ‘Garage Mode’ within the My Bentley app to avoid a false theft alert. You should also bring in all the Driver Cards.
 

Can I add more Driver Cards?

Yes. You can have up to seven Driver Cards linked to the vehicle. A Technician will need to program these, but all existing Driver Cards will need to be re-programmed at the same time
 

Who provides the tracking service?

Vodafone.

Will I need to speak to Vodafone?

You should only need to contact Vodafone for a suspected theft or for setting a ‘Special Mode’.

What do I do when I sell my car?

Call the Bentley contact centre who will assist in removing your details from the vehicle:

What do I do when I sell my car?

You must take the following steps or bring the Vehicle to a Dealer or an authorised Bentley service centre so that they can complete these steps on Your behalf:

  • Delete Your Vehicle Identification Number from Your My Bentley ID via the My Bentley App; and
  • Delete Your profile from the Vehicle or reset the SVTS to factory settings, where applicable.
  • Inform next user how much of the term remains

Can I activate the system on a used vehicle?

− Complete Primary User Nomination (pairing).
− Register the vehicle using the My Bentley app.
− Register for SVT in the My Bentley app.

INSURANCE

My insurance company has asked if my vehicle tracker is Thatcham approved

Yes, my SVTS is officially Thatcham approved as Category S5 level and the Thatcham certificate can be downloaded via the My Bentley app once activated.

Why do I need a tracker?

This is a requirement from UK insurance companies, please check with your insurance provider.
